After years of hatred -- Spider-Man and The Green Goblin's latest battle ended with Spider-Man ripping the mask off of The Goblin shockingly revealing it to be business mogul, Norman Osborn. After millions upon millions of dollars in damages, Osborn is to be put on trial for several felonious counts, the most damaging however is the murder of Gwen Stacy a few years ago.
In recent years however, The Green Goblin is just one of many foes Spider-Man has had to encounter and save New York City from, some range from the normal in everyday criminals looking to cut a corner for a fast buck to the more extreme in what's being said to be an 'alien' entity in VENOM. NYC is Spidey's home and he's shown time and time again that he will stop at nothing to keep it safe, even if it means fighting out-of-this-world creatures which may sacrifice his own life in the process.
So as the landscape changes, what else will pop up? A hero, one that wants to aid your neighborhood friendly Spider-Man or one that operates under his own rules? Or is there to be a new villain in the game, looking to move in on the space that's been left wide open with Osborn's incarceration and lack of presence?
It seems that all across the city and even world, BROKEN WEBS exist, some want to fix them while others add to the damage..
.. which side are you on?
This is, at its heart a Spider-Man/Marvel site but with no attachment to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel Television Universe or tied directly to the comics. Think of us as an ALT-U, where we're able to take pre-made characters but add our own spin on them to create our own stories. The site is new, but the story isn't. What I mean by that is we're jumping into an already happening story, so how you treat your character is up to you. Do you want to start them from scratch or do you want to take them with some experience under their belt? That's your call.
Peter Parker has been Spider-Man for about 12 years, Venom has been introduced but is incapacitated at the moment and Norman Osborn has just [a few months ago] been revealed as The Green Goblin. Any hero/villain who is not reserved or taken is free to be introduced as you see fit.
