in March of 2017, after the shocking turn of events that led to the arrest of former OsCorp CEO and founder; Norman Osborn- whom was identified as The Green Goblin, New York City as a whole is shaken to its core. The recipient of several awards and honors in regard to the many charitable efforts he had donated to, Osborn [after a brutal battle] with Spider-Man was defeated and left incapable of running any longer, leaving a special unit of the NYPD working in conjunction with the FBI to apprehend Osborn and take him into custody.
Eight months after the battle that destroyed more than 10 blocks of lower New York City- Osborn will finally see his day in court after pleading 'Not Guilty' to several charges, including [but not limited to]:
- Felonious Property Damage
- Kidnapping
- Murder of Gwendolyne Stacy in 2000
- Theft in the First Degree
The laundry list of crimes committed by Osborn is still rolling in as the court and DA, Franklin Nelson- look to keep Osborn behind bars for life.
Interestingly enough, since Osborn has been incarcerated -- he has developed what some loosely call a 'religion' called Osbornality where he pledges that ANYONE can be not just 'reborn but Osborn' and be able to overcome any obstacle and change for the better. Professionals consider this another one of Osborn's con jobs however, researching internet traffic and monitoring several different forums and Social Media platforms, many have bought into it and have continued to fund Osborn's criminal case despite his own funds being frozen until the trial concludes.
Many wonder if Spider-Man himself, usually one to stay away from court hearings will make an appearance to testify against Osborn in an act to persuade even the most jaded of jurors to keep Osborn locked up as he's shown a total disregard for human life and property
